The Sector Jobs marks three months since launch with new streamlined job ad application journey for candidates

The Sector Jobs, the dedicated early childhood education and care (ECEC) employment portal operated by the Sector Publishing team, has revisited the candidate application journey to create a super streamlined process that substantially reduces the duration and clicks required to complete.

“Since launching our new jobs board in late 2022 we have been overwhelmed by the interest from candidates and providers,” Founder and CEO of Sector Publishing, Jason Roberts said.

“As the ECEC sector’s most popular independent digital destination with up to 50,000 ECEC professionals visiting our site every month and thousands reading our newsletters every week we are in a strong position to support more effective connections between those who are seeking new roles and those seeking new team members.”

“This latest refresh reflects careful analysis of nearly three months of data and feedback from both candidates and providers alike and aims to ensure that anybody engaging with The Sector Jobs is supported in achieving their objectives.”

“It’s an exciting time for us at The Sector. To have the trust of so many ECEC stakeholders and professionals is a privilege and responsibility that we do not take lightly.”

Candidate journey now simplified to allow for easier, quicker application submissions

The update to The Sector Jobs focuses on the candidate application process which has been streamlined so that now a candidate can start and submit a job application in just five clicks with the only document upload required now being a copy of a resume.

The new process takes less than thirty seconds and requires candidates to complete five steps:

  1. Click on the “quick apply” button on the advertised job
  2. Confirm, via a yes or no answer, their right to work in Australia
  3. Respond to a maximum of two provider required short form questions
  4. Upload a copy of a resume in either PDF, Word or screenshot form
  5. Review their submission and then submit

For candidates that are applying for a role for the first time a short registration process will require completion. This has also been streamlined to broadly replicate The Sector Weekly and Jobs Round Up newsletter sign ups which take under ten seconds.

“The great thing about The Sector Jobs board is that unlike generic platforms like Seek or Indeed our visitors are already ECEC professionals. This provides us with the scope to make assumptions about their integrity, capability and competence that lends itself to a super streamlined application process,” Mr Roberts said.

“As we look ahead to 2023 we anticipate another year of strong demand for talent from across our sector and look forward to becoming the preferred job search destination for ECEC professionals and a key talent acquisition partner for approved providers.”
