The team at Goodstart Early Learning Estrella is joining the broader Wagga Wagga community in mourning the passing of popular early childhood teacher (ECT) Megan Fisher, who died suddenly on October 5.

Ms Fisher is remembered by her former coworkers as “someone who was warm and kind and easily made beautiful reciprocal relationships with the children in her care.”

“She was a wonderful, inspiring and generous educator, coworker and friend. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.”

A mother of three, who was pregnant with her fourth child at the time of her passing, Ms Fisher leaves behind her longtime partner, policeman and mortgage broker Matt Owen, as well as her three children Josh, 19 years of age, Zac, 17  years of age, and Levi, nine  years of age.

Ms Fisher also worked for NSW Health as a nutritionist. The cause of her death is not yet known.

A fundraiser established to support the family during this complex time has raised more than $45,000 at time of press.
