Eagleby Kids ELC celebrates Excellent Rating – first in QLD for 2022
The team at Eagleby Kids Early Learning Centre (Eagleby Kids ELC) has been rated as Excellent by the Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA), joining a select group of 38 services around the country with the prestigious acknowledgement.
Eagleby Kids ELC is the first Queensland service to receive the honour in 2022, and the ranking reflects the culture of continuous improvement and professional enquiry at the service, explained Jenna Wolland, the Compliance and Quality Manager of Kids ELC.
“It’s a shift towards a growth mindset that ensures educators have the motivation each day to do better and make influential improvements,” she added.
Thinking outside the box is another hallmark of practice, Service Pedagogista Kylie Buckley continued, outlining the service’s kindness project as an example of how the Eagleby team determine the needs of the community and “go the extra mile” to form connections with all stakeholders and work in collaboration.
“The projects, experiences, approaches, further sharing of their expertise and understandings, enhancement of embedded culture, expanding connections and pedagogical documentation benefits not only the children and families in their care, but also the wider community and early childhood sector,” Centre Manager Jamie Hopewell continued.
All staff take on responsibility for sustaining excellence and pursuing opportunities for further improvement, sharing a commitment to a future that focuses on improved outcomes for children and families.
Being awarded the Excellent rating is important to the children, families, educators, kids ELC as a whole and the wider community as it exemplifies the commitment of the service to high-quality outcomes for children, she added.
The team at Eagleby will use their experience and commitment to filter their knowledge through to other services in the Kids ELC network, General Manager Cassie Hobbs explained.
