One Tree gains Early Years Management recognition in Victoria
Early childhood education and care (ECEC) service provider One Tree has been recognised as an Early Years Management (EYM) organisation allowing it to work with councils and parent committees to carry the administrative and management burdens that are involved with running a kindergarten in Victoria.
The move comes after One Tree welcomed an additional five kindergartens to the One Tree community in late 2021 and early 2022, and aims to allow families to focus on their child’s kindergarten experience rather than the challenges of operating a service.
Simultaneously, EYM organisations alleviate pressures on councils so they can focus on their core business, One Tree Executive Director Coral Callan explained.
“We believe that working with communities rather than in communities is essential for achieving the best possible results for children and families. Our new status as an EYM organisation means that we’re perfectly placed to do that”.
One Tree currently manages ten kindergartens in Victoria, from metropolitan Melbourne to Apollo Bay on the Great Ocean Road.
“As the demand for universal access to kindergarten grows in Victoria, One Tree Community Services aims to help meet this demand. We are committed to supporting children and families to access high-quality, affordable education and care services,” Ms Callan said in closing.
