DESE notes changes to Innovative Solution Support – $10,000 limit

Changes to Innovative Solutions Support, an arm of the Federal Government’s Inclusion Support Program (ISP), are now in play, the Department of Education, Skills and Employment has said.
The Inclusion Support Program (ISP) provides assistance for eligible childcare services to address barriers to inclusion.
Through ISP, Innovative Solutions Support can fund innovative, flexible and responsive solutions to these barriers. It can also help services carry out inclusive practices.
From 14 September 2021 until 30 June 2022, eligible services can apply for a maximum of $10,000 (inclusive of GST) for Innovative Solutions projects.
Previously there was no specified limit for an application for Innovative Solutions Support, and no limit on the amount of funding that could be applied for, or the number of applications a service could make for Innovative Solutions Support.
The new changes also apply in the following circumstances:
- Services who want to apply more than once
- Applications from a group of services
- Applications from family day care services.
Applications cannot be considered as new if:
- A service submitted an application to the Inclusion Development Fund Manager before 14 September 2021; and,
- that application was returned to the service through the IS Portal for follow up information.
