Goodstart implements national internal vaccination campaign against COVID-19

Early childhood education and care (ECEC) provider Goodstart Early Learning has launched a national internal campaign aimed at encouraging all 15,000 Goodstart employees to take the next step in the organisation’s ongoing safety journey and consider being vaccinated against COVID-19.

The organisation’s Chief Safety Officer Matthew Little outlined the impact of the latest outbreak of COVID-19 across the country, particularly in the Greater Sydney area, that has been disruptive and concerning for many communities.

“We take seriously our commitment to keeping our 15,000 staff, 70,000 children and 63,000 families safe and well,” he said.

Encouraging employees to get vaccinated when the Australian Government Department of Health COVID-19 vaccine eligibility checker indicates that they are able to is “that next logical step in our safety journey and coming together to protect Australia’s most valuable asset, our children,” Mr Little said.

He made it clear that it is not mandatory for Goodstarters to receive the vaccine and it’s up to the individual to make a personal choice.

“In the best interests of the community at large, and in particular the more vulnerable children and families we support, we are asking our people to really consider joining our ‘Goodstart bubble’ and getting vaccinated when they can.”
