Goodstart campaign rewards educators for their commitment and dedication
Australian early childhood education and care provider, Goodstart Early Learning, has run a campaign throughout June to thank its in-centre teams for their commitment and passion.
The ‘You Make the Difference’ campaign has recognised the extraordinary work of full-time in-centre staff (and those working more than 34 hours weekly on average over the six months prior) with each team member being given $450 in bonus payments and the chance to spend thousands of dollars on new resources.
As part of the thank you, all centre-based casuals and part-time team members received a special You Make the Difference prepaid card with $250 spending money.
The payments and the massive spend on new resources was the organisation’s way of recognizing the extraordinary role centre teams had played while keeping centres open and prioritising children’s learning and development during the pandemic, Goodstart’s CEO Julia Davison said.
“We all had high hopes that 2021 would be easier and less chaotic than the year before, but it continues to challenge and requires innovation while we continue our focus on providing high quality early learning for children,” she explained.
“The gift card and bonus payments and the significant increase in centre resource budgets are a small recognition of the vital work our centre teams do every day. We hope they have enjoyed thinking about how to spend their bonus payments and working together to decide which additional resources they will purchase for their centre. They really do make the difference and we are very pleased to be able to recognise their work.”
