Busy Bees prepares for Careers Day for all services around Australia
Children, families and educators who use Busy Bees Early Learning services are “buzzing” with excitement about an upcoming Careers Day, to be held Tuesday 2 February 2021 across all services nationally.
On Careers Day, children are encouraged to reflect on the perennial childhood conversation maker “what do you want to be when you grow up?” and to dress up accordingly.
As well as involving the children, the broader service community is invited to share their vocational experiences with the children, with families who wish to share their career and skills with the wider Busy Bees family invited to spend time in the service, exploring their career and skills with children.
When caring adults highlight what they do in their job each day, a spokesperson for the provider said, it can create “a sense of wonder and interest” from the children, and supports Busy Bees educators to further refine the learning journey for each of the children in their care.
Tara Maynard, Busy Bees Early Learning Head of Centre Operations explained the focus of the provider, to give children opportunities to foster imagination, nurture creativity and “celebrate dreams.”
“Careers Day is one of the ways we encourage children, giving them the opportunity to see the world as full of possibilities,” Ms Maynard said.
A video about Careers Day has been produced by Busy Bees Early Learning, which may be viewed here.
