Goodstart to hold QLD 200-centre Open House event this Tuesday
This Tuesday 19 February, Goodstart Early Learning is opening more than 200 of its Queensland centres as part of an Open House event to introduce families to early learning.
The Open House event will be held for two hours in the evening, where families and their children can enjoy refreshments and talk to educators about the service.
Goodstart Regional Manager Cassy Baker said the Open House events were designed to give families a chance to ask questions, meet educators and directors and have a look around.
“It’s all about opening our doors and giving people who work during the day the chance to have a look around without having to worry about taking time off work,” Ms Baker said.
“It’s also a great chance to meet other families in the community.”
“Whether you’re looking to enroll in 2019, or your child already attends a Goodstart centre, this is a great opportunity to meet your child’s educators and hear about the centre’s approach to early learning.”
Each centre is set to showcase a special service offered within the centre. Goodstart’s Red Hill centre will hold a popular tea ceremony; at its Brisbane city Adelaide St service Chef Lou will prepare gourmet food; and Nambour City View Terrace will highlight its bush kinder program.
At Goodstart’s newest Queensland service in Baringa, parents can get an insight into the STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) program; at Beachmere, the beach kinder program will be in the spotlight; and, Kanimbla will showcase its very own water park.
Morningside Junction Road will host a sausage sizzle to raise money for Townsville flood relief, and Indooroopilly York St will unveil its new food offering and menu.
Each centre will also develop play experiences to give the children a taste of what a day is like with the Goodstart team.
