Kidsafe Design Award winners announced

The Kidsafe National Playspace Design Awards winners for 2018 were announced last week in a ceremony held as part of the Play Symposium held at NSW Parliament House.
Held every two years, the awards recognise excellence and innovation in the provision of safe, creative playspaces across Australia, and showcase the achievements of communities working with educators, designers and the playground industry in creating amazing play environments in public spaces, schools, and education and care services.
As part of the nomination process, communities around Australia nominated playspaces that are inclusive, challenging and innovative, and that encourage healthy participation in recreational activities for all children.
Early childhood education and care services recognised in the 2018 awards were:
Winner: Gloucester Preschool Natural Playspace, NSW
Highly Commended: St Nicholas Early Education Centre, Lochinvar, NSW
Commended: Guliyali Preschool Playground, NSW
