Little Scientists is a not-for-profit initiative funded and supported by the Australian Government that provides inquiry-based STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) professional development to early childhood educators and early primary teachers. Our mission is to champion inquiry-based STEM education for all young children across Australia.
Little Scientists offers a range of in-person, in-service, and online workshops across 10+ exciting, pedagogy-based STEM topics — such as Water, Computer Science, Engineering, and Chemical Reactions — which are delivered by experienced Little Scientists trainers and partner trainers.
By attending, educators learn the foundations of inquiry-based and co-constructed learning and unlock the wonders of STEM in their service or classroom through the lens of a specific workshop topic.
The goal of the Little Scientists project is to empower as many early years educators and teachers as possible (in every corner of the country) with the skills and confidence to create joyful STEM experiences for young children and foster curiosity, critical thinking, and resilience in the next generations.
