This free* 10-week pilot will provide you with an opportunity to explore working in early childhood education and care as a career choice. You will gain skills and knowledge in working effectively with people through a program that combines online and face-to-face workshops, mentor support and practical work experience placement in an early childhood service.

You will gain valuable experience, an introduction to the sector and practical application of one unit of competency CHCDIV001 Work with Diverse People. This unit once successfully completed may be used as a credit transfer towards the Certificate III in Early Education and Care CHC30121 and 50 plus other qualifications (Certificate III in School Based Education Support and Certificate III in Individual Support and more).

The aim of this pilot is to assist you to make clear decisions about your career choice, and provide an insight into the knowledge and skills required to be an educator.

* Pre-requisite – Working with Children Check will cost $65.45

Key dates: 28th March – 2nd June 2023

Commitment: Average 1-3 days per week, Tuesday-Thursday.
