Jobs and Skills Australia: Early Childhood Education and Care Capacity Study Report Launch
The Australian Government commissioned JSA to undertake a capacity study on the future workforce needs for Australia’s Early Childhood Education and Care sector.
In partnership with HumanAbility, the Jobs and Skills Council for Children’s Education and Care, JSA engaged with stakeholders, undertook economic modelling, and made 28 findings and 41 recommendations.
Key themes of the report are the substantially higher workforce numbers needed to meet current and future demand, sustainable ongoing learning and development for all staff and ensuring strong foundations for rewarding ECEC careers.
In this webinar a panel will discuss key aspects of the report, its contribution, and the future of the early childhood education profession.
The panellists include Barney Glover, Commissioner of Jobs and Skills Australia, Emma King, Chief Executive Officer of HumanAbility, the Jobs and Skills Council, Michael Petrie, General Manager, Workforce, Engagement and Research, from the Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority, and Kylie Crane, Deputy Secretary, from the Department of Education, Australian Government. Panellists will discuss insights, and the future impact of the report facilitated by David Turvey, Executive Director, Jobs and Skills Australia.
Audiences will be invited to ask questions at the end of planned discussions and questions can be submitted prior to the webinar via JSA’s LinkedIn. The webinar will be recorded and posted to our website following the event.
