VITAL YEARS 2022 – THE ESSENTIALS OF STEINER/WALDORF EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION

The Steiner Early Childhood Association (SECA) are very pleased to invite you to join us for the Vital Years Online Conference 2022, “The Essentials of Steiner/Waldorf Early Childhood Education: learning from the Past, Embracing the Present, & Unfolding the Future”.

The conference theme has been chosen in response to the challenges that early childhood teachers and educators meet when striving to hold true to Steiner/Waldorf Early Childhood education at the present time.

The effects of these challenges, such as the consequences of a global pandemic, conflict in the world, and the trend towards early academic learning, have consequences for early childhood care and education, and for children and their families.

We need to fully understand what must be held as essential to Steiner/Waldorf education, to ensure that our practice remains socially and culturally relevant in the present, and to be responsive to what comes towards us from the future.

It is our hope that this conference will take us back to basics in the practical sense, while deepening our understanding of our pedagogical approach to our work.
