The QUT School of Education, in partnership with Early Childhood Australia (ECA), is delighted to host Together in Early Childhood Education and Care—a special event to launch ECA’s 2025 Under Eights Week.
This engaging evening will feature a dynamic Panel discussion on the theme: “Unleashing Scientific Thinking Through Play.” Hear from experienced early childhood educators, academics, and advisors as they explore how children engage in scientific thinking through play —observing, predicting, testing theories, and uncovering concepts.
The event will bring together pre-service teachers, educators, early childhood organizations, policymakers, education and training providers, QUT alumni, and professionals from across the early childhood education and care (ECEC) sector.
Explore the interactive wall; experiment, play with table-top science activities; and engage in digital play in the Children’s Technology Centre as part of the self-guided ‘science discovery walk’ prior to the Panel.
Enjoy light dinner-style refreshments while networking with colleagues, exchanging ideas, and strengthening connections within the sector.
