The National Early Years Summit
Join leading thinkers and change-makers at the National Early Years Summit which will look ahead and ask: What should a blueprint for children’s wellbeing look like?
This work and discussion at the Summit will be based on the following facts:
- Children deserve every opportunity to live happy, healthy and productive lives as part of the Australian community and economy- the future resilience of both depends on it.
- As such, children’s wellbeing is everyone’s business.
- While the forces determining wellbeing are varied and range from genetics to social and economic factors, what does not change is the cost effectiveness of early intervention – preferably in the first thousand days – to improve a child’s life trajectory.
Participants will have the opportunity to be deeply involved in discussion and inquiry on emerging issues for children in the first 1,000 days and beyond from the following themes:
- Thriving communities
- Equitable services
- Parent, family & community engagement
Participants will also help to forge a blueprint for Australian children built on a synthesis of international and Australian expertise to define “the what and how” for promoting wellbeing from the first days of life and beyond.
