STEM HOUR – Celebrating Australia’s First Scientists

For over 65,000 years Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people have carefully observed and explored the world around them, gathering knowledge and learning lessons from the land, sea, and sky. These first scientists passed on these lessons to the future scientists of today through stories, song and dance.

We are incredibly excited to host this special STEM Hour webinar with special guest and STEM trailblazer Corey Tutt OAM, founder of DeadlyScience and NSW Young Australian of the Year 2020. Corey will share his knowledge about the benefits of combining Indigenous and Western science knowledge, ideas for how educators can celebrate the achievements of Australia’s first scientists, and insights into what our future scientists might discover. Corey will also explain the story behind his own STEM education and the experiences that inevitably led him to founding DeadlyScience.

This STEM Hour is happening in your time zone:
