AGWA Gently: An Early Childhood Professional Learning Workshop

 

Join artist Lilly Blue for a day of experimental practice and poetic pedagogies exploring the multisensory processes of AGWA Gently, a creative play project for young children. Learn practical skills to bring arts language, elements and principles, and open-ended creative play activities into your classrooms.

 

Educators will develop a toolkit of strategies for facilitating open-ended creative learning experiences in Early Childhood Education and Care settings. The activities are grouped loosely into themes offering gentle explorations into the elements and principles of art and design.

 

AGWA Gently offers simple poetic prompts as invitations to carve pockets of time to slow down and tune in to sounds, textures, colours, shadows, collections of found objects, and tiny trails.

 

This is a hands-on workshop. It includes lunch and all materials and equipment.
