Online Workshop: Nurturing STEM Dispositions in Children 0-3 years
In this two-hour online workshop, we will shine a STEM spotlight on our littlest scientists: infants and toddlers aged 0-3 years.
We’ll look at how to nurture foundational STEM dispositions — like curiosity, enthusiasm, and confidence — and examine the role of STEM in exploratory play, in which young children observe cause and effect, engage with diverse textures, experiment with their senses, and ignite their natural sense of wonder and inquiry.
Join us to explore the many opportunities for rich STEM learning in the day-to-day experiences of infants and toddlers and come away with a suite of hands-on STEM provocations that stimulate joyful discovery through age-appropriate explorations of Optics, Water, Acoustics, Air, and Engineering.
This online workshop is aligned with the EYLF 2.0 and aims to be as interactive as possible by inviting educators attending live to ask questions, share ideas, and enthusiastically engage.
