Mark Le Messurier presents at Tabor
Mark Le Messurier is a teacher, counsellor and coach to young people and their parents.
Mark works in schools and in private practice counselling, coaching and teaching children and teens he affectionately refers to as the “Tough Kids”; these are the kids who seemingly can’t delay gratification, can’t listen and filter out distractions, process new information, remember it, plan, persist, adapt to change, keep track of time and self-regulate emotion and behaviour.
Many of the young individuals he works with display clusters of troubling behaviours that attract formal identification; Giftedness, Immaturity, Global Development Delay, Oppositional behaviours, Specific Learning Difficulties, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Attention Deficit Disorder, Dyslexia, Language Disorder, Auditory Processing Disorder and Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Mark’s work focuses on strengthening their success through mentorship and targeted interventions. He sees the encouragement of stronger, trusting relationships between parents, teachers and students as key.
