Introduction to Creating Therapeutic Stories: What we do in Therapeutic Stories and how they work.
This 3-hour webinar provides participants with an insight into the power of storytelling and the underpinning theory of creating Therapeutic Stories in Therapeutic Life Story Work.
The aim of this session is to present a Model of Creating Therapeutic Story Books for a child told through their favourite characters. Participants will have an opportunity to consider how it can be utilized in a range of settings for children living away from birth parent/s.
The webinar may be of interest to Therapeutic Life Story Work practitioners, carers, care workers, therapists and social workers.
Objectives:
- To gain an understanding of Therapeutic Stories in the context of Therapeutic Life Story Work and the underpinning theory.
Learning Outcomes:
- To understand the process, what this means for a child, and how to apply it.
- To identify underpinning theory.
- To identify when and where Therapeutic Stories can be used in practice
