Health and Safety in Your Workplace
December 1, 2020 - December 1, 2020
A Health and Safety Representative (HSR) is an employee elected by their colleagues as a representative on health and safety matters. A Work Group (WG) is a group of workers to be represented by the HSR. A work group is determined by negotiation between a Person Conducting a Business or Undertaking (PCBU) and the workers.
HSRs have strong legislative rights to represent you and your colleagues, to ensure consultation on health and safety that occurs in your workplace and to conduct inspections when required.
Having HSRs in your workplace makes a massive difference when it comes to health and safety issues. HSRs provide a meaningful voice for you and your colleagues on health and safety.
No Workplace should ever be unrepresented!
