Guiding Children’s Behaviour – regulation, respect and relationships webinar series
Join Catharine Hydon, Associate Professor Cathrine Neilsen-Hewett, early education researchers and Victorian educators in an online professional learning program focussing on guiding children’s behaviour.
In this series of four live webinars, we will explore child development, co-regulation, dysregulation, and tools to build children’s self-regulation to support the VEYLDF Learning and Development Outcomes.
These webinars will help educators develop skills to recognise and respond in the moment to children’s challenging behaviours, and better understand behaviour as communication, drawing on trauma informed approaches. Using the VEYLDF Practice Principles, we will explore the roles of educators and the learning environment in promoting and supporting pro-social and positive behaviour, as well as when, and how, to escalate concerns about behaviour with families and other professionals.
