Embedding connections: The keys to cultural inclusion is a program designed to develop and deliver First Nations cultural capability training that will support and provide guidance to Queensland ECEC service providers including approved providers, teachers and educators.

 

The program is designed to strengthen their confidence in providing culturally safe and welcoming environments that are valued and are accessed by First Nations children and families.

 

In August 2021 Embedding connections: The keys to cultural inclusion will commence its one-day workshop roadshow to twenty-one sites across Queensland.

 

Who can attend?

Participation is open to all early childhood services.

 

Is there support available after the workshop?

 

Following the workshop, participants will be invited to participate in a follow-up series of targeted mentoring sessions with experienced Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander expert educators.

 

Embedding connections: The keys to cultural inclusion recognises the importance of continued integration of cultural perspectives as an integral component of early childhood education and care experiences for all children.
