Registrations are now open for the VCAA’s Early Years first Twilight Webinar of 2021, to be held Monday 15 February 2021 from 5:30 to 6:30pm.
This webinar, titled ‘”But do they do anything?” Documentation and infant pedagogy’, will support early childhood professionals working with children from birth to two years to better understand the skills and capabilities of young children and how to make visible young children’s learning and development.
The guest speaker for this event is Dr Andi Salamon, Senior Lecturer in the School of Education at Charles Sturt University.
After registering for the webinar, participants are encouraged to familiarise themselves with the following resources, to support deeper engagement with the ideas that will be discussed.
- In ‘Early learning matters for babies, but what do they even do?’, Dr Andi Salamon highlights the importance of early childhood education for babies and the thinking required to support their growth and development.
- The Early Years Planning Cycle Resource for the VEYLDF, will help educators understand how the VEYLDF Early Years Planning Cycle can be applied to observe, assess and respond to evidence of children’s learning. It illustrates and provides a model for the teaching of specific concepts to children aged from birth to eight years within everyday learning environments.
