Introducing Autism Inclusive’s workshop- “Autism across the Early Education Years,” an interactive learning experience designed to help Education assistants, Early Childhood Educators, and Early Primary Teachers, School psychologists (new to teaching autistic students), to create inclusive early childhood and primary learning environments.
My name is Tasha Alach– I have worked with autistic children, their families and teachers, for over 25 years . I am a passionate advocate for best practice education and inclusion. I believe early identification and access to the right interventions and education, is critical to creating positive lifelong outcomes.
I have developed and operated multiple early intervention centers autistic children including early learning and care centers. I have led large multi-disciplinary teams and have delivered training to teachers, allied health staff, school leaders, both across Western Australia, nationally and internationally. I am passionate about early intervention, and creating the best opportunities for children with autism to learn- to maximise the opportunities for each child’s future.
I understand the challenges firsthand – and have written several publications based on this experience to build confidence of educators and therapists.
After years of problem solving, in collaboration with my team I was able to create practical strategies to suit the individual learning needs of each child and integrate these into the classroom / childcare routine. Through implementing autism best practice strategies and creating a nurturing learning environment, I was able to minimise behaviours and maximise learning outcomes so each student could reach their full potential.
Autism across the Early Education Years, is a foundational workshop to support you to create opportunities for children with neurodiverse learning needs to thrive.
