All about allergens – managing food allergies in ECEC services
The National Allergy Strategy has engaged with key stakeholders in the ECEC sector to develop an online training course and supporting resources to help manage food allergies in this setting. A recent survey identified that most ECEC services have children attending with food allergies and require support to manage food allergies appropriately.
As food allergies can be life-threatening, it is important that ECEC services are well prepared to manage all food allergies, particularly milk and egg allergies which are common in young children. This presentation will walk you through the training and resources available to support ECEC services.
