Aboriginal Art Education Summit
June 21, 2021 - July 9, 2021
Aboriginal art is the world’s oldest continuing form of cultural expression on the planet. The Aboriginal Early Childhood Collective (AECC) is bringing you The Aboriginal Art Summit in 2021!
The Aboriginal Art Summit will explore visual, performing, digital and creative arts in the context of educational and community settings. The Aboriginal Art Summit will feature an incredible line up of Aboriginal artists, both Indigenous and non-Indigenous educators engaging with Aboriginal artists in their everyday practices, community arts and art projects.
A focus on the ways in which Aboriginal art can be engaged in educational and community settings will enable delegates to explore their pedagogical practices to plan for respectful inclusion of Aboriginal art and Aboriginal arts practice.
The Aboriginal Art Summit is designed to reach a myriad of educators. There will be presentations that appeal to beginning educators, presentations designed for educators who are not sure about how to begin engaging with Aboriginal and Aboriginal artists in their programs, as well as inspiring content for experienced educators looking for a challenge to take their curriculum practices forward.
This online summit enables engagement individually or in teams. It is delivered with flexible options and easy access. Opportunities to review and revisit content will be available.
