About the role:

Due to an exciting internal transfer, we are thrilled to offer an opportunity for a passionate and experienced Centre Director to join our Highett family. In this leadership role, you will oversee daily operations, drive business and operational goals, and provide mentorship to our dedicated staff.

At Only About Children, you'll partner with experienced and knowledgeable teams, including Operations leads, Education Business Partners, and Pedagogy leaders. You'll feel supported and valued within this strong, collaborative network, where open communication and teamwork are essential for success.

In addition, the role involves:

• Always ensuring child safety and welfare as the top priority
• Fostering positive communication and relationships with children, team, & families
• Acting as a positive role model by coaching and mentoring staff 
• Demonstrating and promoting our HEART principles and leadership practices
• Focusing on delivering agreed KPIs to support all business aspects
• Provide childcare services that comply with the national regulations, the National Quality Framework (NQF), and support the Early Years Learning Framework

For this position, we are ideally seeking a candidate with the following:

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education & Care (or higher ECEC qualification)
• Previous leadership experience in childcare settings
• Strong advocacy for children's voices in early childhood education 
• Ability to work effectively within a group structure
• Experience in coaching and mentoring teams
• Solid knowledge of regulations & compliance in the early childhood sector
