Alice Springs Family Day Care are seeking a highly motivated, passionate and enthusiastic early childhood professional for a full-time scheme manager position within our FDC service. This is a unique opportunity to work in a leadership role, providing ongoing support and mentoring to a small group of high-quality educators while working alongside an engaged and supportive Board of Management
Training and support offered, above award wages, 6 weeks leave.
This position requires the applicant to:
- Develop respectful and professional relationships with team members, educators, families and community members.
- Work both independently and collaboratively with all stake holders.
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Work confidently with technology
- Support, mentor, and guide educators with their practice in alignment with the NQS.
- Maintain comprehensive and timely documentation, ensuring compliance with the NQS.
- Arrange, facilitate and engage in training with and for FDC Educators.
- Monitor and support educators in the development and implementation of an effective educational program.
- Guide and implement regulatory and assessment and rating requirements according to the NQS.
- Recruit and approve the registration of FDC educators in accordance with the scheme’s policies and regulatory requirements.
- Assist educators to develop care routines for children.
- Communicate effectively with educators, children, families, and the wider community.
- Take on the specialised roles of educational leader, nominated supervisor and person in day-to-day charge.
The successful applicant must have:
- Minimum qualification of Diploma in Children’s Services
- Current Driver’s License/full access to a car
- Current Working with Children Check
- National Police check, completed within the last 6 months
- Early education and care first aid
- Strong knowledge and understanding of National Quality Framework, Early Years Learning Framework, My Time Our Place, National Regulations and Law, and National Quality Standards.
- Independence and ability to work respectfully and collaboratively with a team.
- Excellent time management skills and organisation
- Well-developed oral and written skills.
