The IGS Early Learning Centre (ELC) encourages children 3-5 years to explore and discover their world and supports the joy of learning another language, and music - our school’s unique offerings.

The Early Learning Centre (ELC) is a 120-place centre, enrolling children from 7:30am to 6:00pm (Extended Hours), with the option for children to attend 8:20am to 3:20pm during IGS school terms (Term Time).

We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Early Childhood Teacher to join our dynamic early learning team in a unique coordinator role. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced educator or someone ready to take the next step in their career and develop their leadership skills under the guidance of highly experienced and committed professionals.

This position will:

• Lead the educational program from 3:00pm to 6:00pm during term time, with a strong focus on delivering meaningful and authentic learning experiences each afternoon.
• Collaborate closely with the Director of Early Learning and the Educational Leader to coordinate, lead, and implement the program during term breaks.
• Inspire and guide a team of educators, fostering a positive, collaborative, and enriching learning environment for both staff and children.

Essential criteria:

• ACECQA recognised university qualification in Early Childhood Teaching
• Current NESA registration
• Current ACECQA approved first aid, CPR, anaphylaxis and asthma certifications
• Current ACECQA approved Child Protection training or willingness to obtain
• Willingness to be the Responsible Person
• Safe Food Supervisor qualifications or willingness to obtain
• Availability to work 10.30am - 6.10pm Monday - Friday during term time and flexible shift times during term break
• Demonstrated understanding of current early education and care legislation regulations and pedagogy including the EYLF and Reggio Emilia approach
• Previous leadership and or management experience in an early education and care setting is desirable
• High level interpersonal skills, demonstrated initiative and proactive problem solving ability
• Demonstrated strengths-based approach in working with children, families and colleagues
• Current WWCC
• Sound computer skills
