We are looking for an experienced and committed HR Manager or Senior HR Generalist to join our small, dynamic Head Office team from mid-December 2022 (January start is negotiable) until mid-September 2023 as a maternity leave cover. You will be supported by an exceptional part-time HR Assistant and you will report to the Managing Director.
We need you to
- have at least 1 year experience as an HR Manager or 2 years+ as a Senior HR Generalist; ideally gained in the early childhood education sector
- have current knowledge and skills to action all things HR (e.g. workforce planning, managing the employment life-cycle including recruiting, contract preparation, onboarding, performance management and offboarding of employees, workers compensation claim management, payroll [in cooperation with an external provider], providing advice and support to our 5 Centre Managers to ensure compliance with legal requirements incl. the relevant modern awards and our HR policies and practices, maintaining HR systems and records, creating and reviewing policies as required)
- have a keen interest in supporting our FROEBEL Lounge employee wellbeing initiatives and overseeing our Employee Assistance Program
- have exceptional organisational and time management skills
- be relatable and confident in leading challenging conversations
- be able to build good rapport with the senior management team and other team members as well as external stakeholders
- have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- be available to travel interstate from time to time as required
- last but definitely not least: have a sunny personality with a positive mindset.
