Children’s rights and their wellbeing
November 20, 2025 - November 20, 2025
Reflect with Be You on Children’s Week 2025 and its focus on children’s rights. Articles 12 and 13 of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child affirm every child’s right to share their ideas and be listened to on matters that affect them.
When educators create empowering environments that value children’s voices and agency, children become active contributors in decisions that shape their world. This recognition of rights not only strengthens empowerment and agency but also supports positive mental health and wellbeing outcomes.
Join our experienced Consultants, Shona Doyle and Dr Carmen Huser, as they discuss:
- How empowerment and agency positively influence children’s mental health and wellbeing.
- How services can include children’s voices in educational programming and planning.
- Why connecting with your Be You Consultant will support you to embed children’s empowerment into program planning in ways that best suit your learning community.
