Bravehearts Day
September 12, 2025 - September 12, 2025
Bravehearts Day is Australia’s largest annual campaign to raise awareness and funds for the prevention of child sexual abuse.
It’s held during National Child Protection Week and was previously known as White Balloon Day. The day aims to break the silence around child sexual abuse, support survivors, and encourage the community to play an active role in protecting children.
Did you know, even though 1 in 4 Australian children have experienced child sexual abuse, 1 in 3 Australians don’t believe it is a problem to be concerned about?
YOU can help change this misconception by raising funds and awareness this Bravehearts Day, Friday 12 September.
Child sexual abuse is enabled by secrecy and silence. As long as it remains ‘out of sight and out of mind’, children are at risk.
Together, we must fight this crime by breaking the silence. We must face this immense child protection challenge head-on.
We must be brave!
