$3 million early childhood education block at Camboon Primary School
New early childhood education facilities have been opened at Camboon Primary in Western Australia, with the $3 million early childhood education block providing additional permanent classroom accommodation for kindergarten and pre-primary cohorts.
The new building consists of three classrooms which has created ‘a clean and modern new look’ at the school which will also allow for future enrolment growth. The early childhood block is equipped with toilets, a kitchen and storage facilities.
The design creates a dedicated early learning environment allowing early childhood education teachers and educators to deliver their early learning specialists curriculum,
Hodge Collard Preston Architects designed the building, which was constructed by Rivet Construction and completed in August 2024.
WA Early Childhood Education Minister Sabine Winton and Morley MLA Amber-Jade Sanderson officially unveiled the space at a ceremony recently, noting the way that the building’s design promotes collaboration across the classrooms and supports outdoor learning options.
“High-quality early childhood education and care plays an important role in ensuring Western Australian children have the best possible start to life,” Minister Winton said.
“I’m pleased that Camboon Primary School’s youngest students will be able to move in and enjoy their new, modern building in 2025.”
