FDCA announces Educator of the Year Regional Winners

Family Day Care Australia (FDCA) has announced the Educator of the Year (Regional Winners) in the 2024 Excellence in Family Day Care Awards.

71 Educators have been rewarded for their passion and excellence in early childhood education and care (ECEC) in the 2024 Excellence in Family Day Care Awards, the thirteenth consecutive year the awards have been run. 

The Excellence in Family Day Care Awards highlight the unique benefits of family day care (FDC), which is the choice of over 52,000 families across Australia.

The Awards are the only ones of their kind to exclusively celebrate FDC educators, who as a collective form one of the largest national networks of women in small business.

“This year more than 5,000 nominations were placed, which is testament to the vital role that family day care educators play in the lives of families all across Australia and the unique benefits family day care offers,” FDCA Chief Executive Officer, Andrew Paterson said.

The Excellence in Family Day Care Awards showcase the contribution that family day care educators make to more than 74,000 children across the country each day.

The regional winners are now in the running to be named as a National Finalist for the 2024 Educator of the Year Award.

Four National Educator Finalists will be announced 15 October 2024, with FDCA’s Educator of the Year Winner being announced 23 November 2024 at the FDCA Excellence in Family Day Care Awards Gala Dinner in Parramatta.
