Nicole Artico lands CEO role at Kids First after serving in acting position
Kids First has confirmed the appointment of Nicole Artico to the position of CEO, a role she has held in an acting capacity since July this year.
Ms Artico has made a number of valuable contributions to Kids First in her capacity as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Deputy CEO over the past four years, making her a logical choice to take the helm.
Having officially commenced as CEO on 2 September, the Board is confident in its decision to make the appointment.
“For the last four years, Nicole’s contributions to Kids First in the roles of Chief Operating Officer and more recently Deputy CEO have been integral to our evolution and growth,” President Sandy Forbes noted.
“The Board appointed an independent consultant to work on our behalf to undertake the recruitment process. We were very pleased at the level of interest in the role, with over one hundred applicants.”
A screening process was undertaken with the assistance of the consultant, an interview process with a shortlist of candidates was held, and a presentation was made to the selection committee by a reduced list of candidates.
“It has been a rigorous process,” the President continued.
“Nicole is highly qualified for the role and holds the best interests of the vision and values of Kids First Australia as her driving motivation.”
Ms Artico brings a wealth of experience and a strong dedication to the Kids First cause, with a rich history of leadership in the youth justice and client services sectors.
“We are confident that her continued leadership will help us amplify our impact in the lives of those we serve,” Ms Forbes said.
“We are all looking forward to working together with her to ensure that Kids First Australia remains a trusted and supportive partner for children, young people, and families across the country.
