Preparing your workforce for 3YO kinder and Pre-Prep

Are you an early childhood education and care (ECEC) service provider, service director, committee member or manage HR for a small EYM? Early Learning Association Australia (ELAA) wants to hear from you.
ELAA is developing workforce resources to assist Victorian ECEC services to plan for transition to Pre-Prep and Three-Year-Old Kindergarten.
“ELAA is clear on the ongoing need to support services to successfully navigate the Best Start, Best Life reforms. Workforce planning is critical to preparing for our sectors future,” said ELAA’s CEO Andrew Cameron.
The success of this transition will greatly depend on planning for the future. Resources developed by ELAA will enable Committees of Management and small early childhood service providers to maximise their workforce capabilities by identifying new roles, gaps, and training to upskill their staff as Victoria transitions to 30 hours of Pre-Prep in 2032 and 15 hours of Three-Year-Old Kindergarten.
“The way we ensure ELAA’s resources meet the sector’s needs is by inviting input from those that are operating and know their services best,” Mr Cameron continued.
By completing this short 10-minute survey, you will help ELAA to understand the operations of your service and the strategies needed to meet workforce capacity requirements. Your input will guide the team in the development of ELAA’s resources and advocacy program to support in operating successful kindergarten programs.
ELAA’s workforce planning survey is open until Sunday, 17 December 2023. Please direct any questions about the survey to [email protected]
