ECEC Provider in Focus: Village OSHC

VillageOSHC offers a range of outside school hours care (OSHC) services including before school care, after school care and vacation care to schools in New South Wales and Victoria.
At time of print there were 15 schools in the VillageOSHC network.
What is the history of VillageOSHC?
Provider approval was granted in July 2020.
What is the VillageOSHC vision and approach to learning?
VillageOSHC operates from the premise that healthy relationships start with a sense of respect, empowerment and security.
The provider’s programs are designed to complement the school’s initiatives to develop the whole child in preparation for future success, and follow the Framework for School Aged Care (My Time, Our Place) which guides a safe, flexible, imaginative and happy environment for children.
VillageOSHC processes are embedded in the provider’s ‘absolute safety’ philosophy, and a cornerstone of fun, respect and empowerment, to ensure each child is seen, heard and nurtured.
Are there any unique aspects to the VillageOSHC offer?
VillageOSHC believes in the adage “it takes a village to raise a child” and partners with schools Australia-wide to keep children safe and happy, offering outside school hours care as parents work or study.
Schools who work with VillageOSHC benefit through a generous return that will advance the whole school community.
The work VillageOSHC does is underpinned by four values – empowerment, safety, fun, play and respect.
