The Impact of Domestic Violence on Children – 16 Days of Activism Webinar
16 Days of Activism – The Impact of Domestic Violence on Children
Join us for an insightful online event that sheds light on the profound effects of domestic violence on children. Starting on Thu Dec 07 2023 at 11:00 AM (Australian Eastern Daylight Time), this event will help you understand the long term effects of domestic and family violence (DFV) on children; their support needs and help-seeking behaviours.
Dr Robert Urquhart, Head of Knowledge, Outcomes and Research, Barnardos Australia will be presenting the key findings of the research report, Truth is the abuse never stopped, by Barnardos Australia, in collaboration with The University of Sydney, and Urbis. The report explored adult insights on the support they received when impacted by childhood DFV.
This event is suitable for domestic and family violence specialist workers, researchers or anyone working with children and families who would like to understand the impact and long-term effects of domestic violence on children, and their help seeking behaviours.
The event will run for 45 minutes and there will be opportunities for questions and further discussion at the end.
