Winners of National FDCA Excellence in Family Day Care Awards announced

The winners of the 2023 Family Day Care Australia (FDCA) Excellence in Family Day Care Awards have been announced, celebrating educators across Australia.

Now in its twelfth year, the Awards program showcases the unique benefits of family day care (FDC), and is the only national event of its kind for family day care educators.

This year educators from 71 regions across Australia have been recognised as Regional Educator Winners, acknowledging the meaningful and unparalleled work they do.

“This year we received over 5,000 awards nominations, a testament to the broadscale relevance of the Awards program, but more so, of the irreplaceable role of family day care educators across Australia,” FDCA Chief Executive Officer said. 

“Our educators are the lifeblood of our sector.”

The Awards promote the valuable contribution FDC educators make to more than 85,000 children across the country each day.

“This year’s Awards continue to play a key role in recognising the achievements of educators on a national level and provide an opportunity to promote the unique benefits of family day care to Australian families,” Mr Paterson added.

The 71 Regional Educator Winners are now in the running to be named as a National Finalist for 2023 Educator or the Year Awards, with hopes of taking out the top spot later this year.

Four National Educator Finalists will be announced on 17 October 2023 with FDCA’s Educator of the Year Winner being announced on 25 November 2023 at the FDCA Excellence in Family Day Care Awards Gala Dinner in Adelaide.
