Why Sunrise?
We are seeking a part time co-educator to be part of our team based in North Fitzroy. Sunrise is a not-for-profit organisation with over 28 years of success leading the early childhood education in Melbourne, we run daily a unique Integrated Kindergarten and Long Day Care Program.
We have built a strong community that values Neo-Humanism, the right of a child’s play, meditation and yoga. All this, play a very important part of the education that makes us unique and well regarded in the community. Stepping outside our front gates is a big part of our day as we explore our local community and beyond. We have been exploring North Fitzroy since 2009 and we can proudly say ‘We know our neighbourhood’
As a co-educator, you will be supported in a conducive environment, that fosters a strong sense of belonging and community engagement that embraces change and making a difference in the children’s life.
Our intimate calm setting is one classroom with max. 22 children a day with an indoor and outdoor program.

As part of our neo-humanistic values, we also emphasise the importance and effect of diet on mind, behaviour and the well-being of our children and educators, hence our centres are all fully vegetarian (no egg, mushroom, garlic and onion).

An ECEC Diploma qualification(preferred) or equivalent, Co-Educator as approved by ACECQA or working towards.

We value time with family and friends, so we close our Centre for 4 weeks at the end of the year. You also have the opportunity to take time off throughout the year. Staff meetings and out of hours commitments are paid alongside with a yummy home cooked vegetarian dinner.
