G8 confirms pending departure of Chief Operating Officer, Malcolm Ashcroft

G8 Education has confirmed that Chief Operating Officer Malcolm Ashcroft will be leaving the Group in mid 2023 for personal reasons.
Mr Ashcroft joined G8 in March 2021 as the company’s first dedicated Chief Operating Officer after an eighteen year career as a senior partner with KPMG and a number of other senior leadership roles in both listed and unlisted companies.
“Mal has championed the voice of the children, families and teams at our centres across Australia. He has enhanced network and workforce planning, business performance management and partnered on programs to improve safety, quality and team attraction and retention,” Pejman Okhovat, managing director and CEO said.
“Notably he led our operations team through the challenges of COVID-19, ensuring safety was at the forefront of our response.”
“Mal has led a capable team that will continue to support the centre network and the children in our care. He will remain in the business until mid-year, providing stability for the team.”
“We thank Mal for his contribution to G8 and wish him all the best in the future.”
A recruitment process to replace Mr Ashcroft is now currently underway.
