FDCA Locator updates, connecting families and educators nationwide

Family Day Care Australia’s (FDCA) Family Day Care Locator has long been an important tool in connecting families and educators, but it “just got a whole lot better and the timing couldn’t be more critical,” FDCA Chief Executive Officer Andrew Paterson has said.
During the month of January over 2,400 enquiries came through the Locator, something Mr Paterson said is “a testament to the massive demand for family day care in metropolitan, regional and remote communities.”
The Family Day Care Locator is the only national search platform dedicated to family day care, with enquiries sent straight to educators, which allows families to be in direct contact with the educator, helping to better match the individual needs of children with specialist educators.
Upgrades to the platform have made it easier for families to search for quality education and care, and include the addition of a new search list display which complements the Locator’s map-based display and will help families quickly identify the details of family day care businesses in their area.
For members, the platform will now offer them a unique profile page as part of their Locator Listing, giving them the ability to tell prospective families all about their business and also leverage additional digital promotional opportunities such as linking their profile page to a Google Business Page.
“Our Locator upgrades give members the ability to promote their business, their way, helping connect parents with flexible and personalised education and care, that offers children the chance to thrive in small-group settings within a natural home environment,” Mr Paterson said.
The offerings also include the introduction of three new tiers of Marketing Packages to support educators, with each package full of unique promotional tools to boost their business.
“Whether it’s the free Essentials Package, the profile enhancing Professional Package or the digital dominance of the Enterprise Package, we are proud to put more power into the hands of family day care professionals,” Mr Paterson added.
The Family Day Care Locator can be found on the FDCA website.
