Harmony Early Learning Journey celebrates 2022 achievements with Harmony Awards

Early childhood education and care (ECEC) provider Harmony Early Learning Journey has celebrated its Queensland and New South Wales teams at the 2022 Harmony Awards which were held on the Gold Coast earlier this month. 

Achievements across 12 different categories were recognised at the event, including: 

• Educator of the Year, 
• Early Childhood Teacher of the Year, 
• Educational Leader of the Year, 
• Centre of the Year, 
• Diversity and Inclusion Award, and 
• Outstanding Leader Award.  

Over 450 attendees from 13 services walked down the red carpet at the gala event which was held at the Gold Coast Convention Centre.    

“Our educators dedicate themselves to others and are truly passionate about fostering positive futures for the younger generation. Our awards night is all about celebrating and recognising all they do, and to give back to those who give so much of themselves to others,” Harmony’s Chief Executive Officer Peter Warner said.

“This event is about more than just the awards; it commemorates all we’ve achieved over the past year at Harmony, of which all our employees have been integral to,” he added. 

Harmony has over 3,000 children currently enrolled, with a team of 550 educators and support staff, which Mr Warner says will continue to grow, with four services on track to open in 2023. 

“We added more than 100 new positions to the business in 2022 and most recently appointed a new Head of Curriculum and Pedagogy to really bolster our curriculum and pedagogy expertise,” he added.

Centre Cook of the year – Cally Kong, Springfield, QLD 

Relationship Manager of the year – Emily Ashcroft, Yarrabilba Drive, QLD 

Support Team member of the year – Bevan Kahukuranui, Hope Island, QLD

Diversity and Inclusion award – Rhyse Hadland, Yarrabilba Drive, QLD

Harmony Advocate of the year – Nicole Savino, Bangalow, NSW

Outstanding leader – Allin Sheehan, Coorparoo, QLD
