Kindarama Long Day Care Centre

Kindarama is a family owned and operated Education and Care Service run by Peter and Linda Brown, since 2007. We believe that the early years in a child’s life are the most important for building relationships and developing life long skills. At Kindarama our team are passionate about providing the best quality care and education for each individual child in our service, bringing their various cultures together as one community. Kindarama Long Day Care Centre aims to provide a journey of learning and discovery in the most comfortable, warm and modern environment. Our total learning experience challenges your child’s interests and skills across a wide range of educational and sporting experiences, whilst providing 4 separate age appropriate educational class rooms.

Our highly qualified and trained team implement a comprehensive School Readiness Curriculum to ensure all children at our Service have a positive start to formal schooling and are prepared for the next chapter of their education. Our specifically designed and planned School Readiness Curriculum is implemented alongside our Wellbeing and Sports Curriculum to ensure a holistic approach to learning is provided for all children.

At Kindarama we offer Extra-Curricular experiences for the children to become involved in to further develop their interests and skills such as Tennis Lessons and Mandarin Lessons.

Our Curriculum

Development of literacy and numeracy skills remain vital in the years where children prepare for school, as well as their social and emotional development. Our curriculum is based upon the Early Years Learning Framework, as outlined under the National Quality Framework for Early Childhood. The Framework has a strong emphasis on play-based learning.

The belief is that play is the best vehicle for young children’s learning, and children’s interests are the basis for development of the curriculum in our Centre. The weekly program is a framework, from which detailed activities are planned to provide activities and opportunities for children to explore and learn in a way that is most engaging to them. By providing a structure, but allowing the learning to flow based upon what the children demonstrate interest in.
