Risk management in early childhood education and care forum
July 26, 2022 - July 27, 2022
Hedley Beare Centre for Teaching and Learning 51 Fremantle Drive Stirling, ACT 2611
Early childhood education and care (ECEC) providers who have effective communication, policies, procedures and supports in place for educator and child wellbeing and safety, are better placed to provide quality, safe and predictable learning environments for children. As part of the National Quality Framework, this includes assessing and managing risk while promoting a reasonable, balanced approach to children’s play, learning and leisure.
This two half-day forum, will offer ECEC providers the opportunity to hear from subject matter experts in general risk management and specific risk associated with:
- playground equipment;
- allergies and medical conditions in children; and
- problematic, harmful, or challenging sexualised behaviours in children.
The second day will include an opportunity to engage with and apply practical risk assessment and management resources and tools.
A detailed agenda will be provided to registered participants closer to the date.
