New ECEC service on the way for Walkervale, catering for children with special needs

A commercial building in a Queensland Bundaberg suburb will be transformed into an early childhood education and care (ECEC) service for vulnerable children and those children with additional needs.
Bundaberg Regional Council recently approved a Material Change of Use development application for the site which was applied for by Burnett Respite Services Inc in relation to the commercial building in Walkervale.
Located at 8 Crawford Street, the building will house Carinbundi Family Day Care, and will operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week. One carer will be on site at all times, along with three administrative staff, with the capacity to care for seven children.
There will be four car parks and a drop off parking bay to cater for both staff and families. Walkervale Primary School is situated at the back of the site, with the building predominantly surrounded by single story residential buildings.
