Bundaberg Regional Council approves new ECEC development on Boundary Street
Bundaberg Regional Council has approved the development of a new early childhood education and care (ECEC) service to replace a single-storey, four-bedroom Queenslander dwelling on Boundary Street.
90 children will be accommodated by the service, which features five classrooms and two sleep rooms for children aged under two years. A kitchen, staff rooms, reception, office, waiting room and car parking areas are also included in the development documents.
The service will be open from Monday to Friday from 6.30 am to 6.30 pm, with 12 staff running the service. Car parking will include 18 onsite spaces and three on-street car parking spaces.
The facility will be constructed to be raised up off the ground rather than an on the ground construction, and shade trees and landscaping will feature in the development.
A large outdoor deck is included in the design, offering opportunities for free and outside play, designed in such a way as to limit the noise impact on surrounding properties.
The service will be developed at 21 Boundary Street, Bundaberg South. Local coverage of this story is available here.
