CQ University to host TAFE Careers Expo and bring more people to ECEC
CQ University will host the 2022 TAFE Careers Expos at its Gladstone, Mackay and Rockhampton campuses on 19 January with a particular focus on bringing more people to the early childhood education and care (ECEC) sector.
One attendee, Bianca Ramm, recently completed Year 11 at Heights College in Rockhampton, and hopes to get as much information as she can about CQUni’s education and childcare courses at the Expo.
Attendees at the expo will discover more about what study options are available, as well as support services, apprenticeship, and trainee information, and how funding options for eligible applicants may dramatically reduce the cost of courses.
“I want to work in childcare as I feel as though this is an area that I can make a difference in once I leave school. I also can connect well with children through my creative gifts and I have a great interest in finding new and innovative ways to grow and improve this field of work,” she said.
“I would like to learn more about what is offered in education and childcare as they are areas that I am interested in pursuing after I finish high school.”
By attending the expo Bianca hopes to find out more about the early childhood sector, and further her connections to it.
The CQUni TAFE Careers Expo will be held at the CQUniversity Rockhampton City campus on Canning Street from 2 – 5.30 pm, 19 January.
Simultaneous events will be held at CQUniversity Gladstone Marina on Bryan Jordan Drive and CQUniversity Mackay City on Sydney Street.
